Join us for a plane washing party on Saturday, May 5th, at 9:00 AM, weather permitting. This is a chance to meet with your fellow club fliers in a more informal setting than our monthly meetings as well as to spruce up our equipment after the winter. Wear work clothes and bring lots of soap and rags. Bring your family. Afterwards, we can all go for pizza.
Please monitor your e-mail if there is any question about the weather

The FAA has announced a Wings Safety Seminar to coincide with the first half of our next LIFC meeting on Monday, Oct. 3rd, at 7:30 PM. To register for Wings credit, go to FAASafety.gov.
The topic, presented by Frank Scotto, will be, "Pilot Proficiency and Logging of Pilot Time."
This Seminar will present information to help define the requirements as it relates to Pilot in Command (PIC), Second in Command (SIC), Instrument, Solo, and Safety Pilot Time. In addition, it will provide guidance on how to properly log flight time in each of these categories to help reinforce the concept of improved pilot proficiency. Wings credit will be available for those who attend.
Door prizes will be given out. Hope to see you there.
Afterwards, the regularly scheduled meeting will be held. This will be a particularly important one as 2012 club officers will be discussed.

Please help me congratulate Kathi for completing her first solo flight today! Kathi has worked really hard to get to this point and it's a milestone that I'm sure she won't soon forget.
Congratulations on a job well done!
